is a group of 12-15 members who work hard year round competing in Washington State. In 2017 we made it to the World Championship in Houston, TX and are working to get there again this year. However, we are more than a competition team, Geared Reaction has been called a family by its members. We do everything from rock climbing and ice skating, to playing band hero and bowling. is a non-profit organization founded by Dean Kamen to turn robotics into a sport as exciting as football or soccer. FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a competition between 7000+ teams in over 15 different countries to create the best possible robot for a given set of challenges. a community event, or just at our practices in Camas WA, Geared Reaction can always be found educating others on safety. Our mission is to spread safety on and off the competition field, which we do through camps, club meetings, and outreach events. We work to model industry safety procedures wherever we go and are currently working to develop training materials that we can share with others.
Formed in 2012, Union Robotics has grown from a small group of motivated students to an expansive club offereing opportunities to every Union Titan, experienced and new. We pride ourselves in our ambition to spread STEM interest and knowledge through our whole community. We have two major components: our competition team, Geared Reaction which travels to competitions and represents Union Robotics, and the Union Robotics Club. The Club involves learning engineering and physics, programming, web development, computer assisted design (CAD), presentation and leadership skills, and much more.
